Come celebrate and have a blast at UREC! UREC offers fun children’s birthday party packages. Host a unique party experience, right here on JMU's campus!

Party Packages

Pool Time
If you're in the mood to cool down and have a blast while playing water basketball or just floating around in the pool, then look no further. This package includes joint use of the pool for 90 minutes and a party space for 30 minutes!

Rates: $75 for up to 12 children for 2 hours and $10 for each additional child (max. 25 participants). Request to add exclusive use of a gym court for 30 minutes to this party for an additional $30!

Rock On
Interested in a little bit of adventure? If so, then you will love having your next party at our rock climbing wall! This package includes use of the rockwall for 90 minutes and a party space for 30 minutes.

Rates: $110 for up to 12 children for 2 hours and $10 for each additional child (max. 25 participants). Request to add exclusive use of a gym court for 30 minutes to this party for an additional $30!

Court Time
In the mood to play basketball, volleyball, soccer, or badminton? Want to just run around, have fun relay races and just go crazy? This is the choice for you and includes exclusive use of court space for 90 minutes plus a party space for 30 minutes.

Rates: $85 for up to 12 children for 2 hours and $10 for each additional child (max. 25 participants).

Fun for Everyone
Having trouble deciding which party is the right choice for your group? Then you'll love our combination package! This party includes joint use of the pool for 45 minutes, climbing wall for 45 minutes, court space for 45 minutes and a party space for 45 minutes!

Rates: $150 for up to 12 children for 3 hours and $10 for each additional child (max. 25 participants).

Hours Available for Parties:

Saturday 2 hour parties: 11am-1pm or 3-5pm

Saturday 3 hour parties: 10am-1pm

Sunday 2 hour parties: Noon-2pm

Sunday 3 hour parties: Noon-3pm

General Party Policies:

Parties must be scheduled tentatively one month in advance and confirmed at least 14 days in advance, and will be scheduled on a space-available basis.
UREC birthday parties are designed for participants 6 years and older.
A waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian is required for each participant.
Chaperones are required at a 1:10 ratio.
Male and female chaperones are required for a co-ed party.
Party-goers may not use other facilities in the building.
Dodgeball is not permitted.
Rental groups are subject to establised UREC policies and procedures.
If children utilizing the pool cannot swim, an adult MUST be in the water with each non-swimmer at all times.
UREC will provide sports equipment for use in the facility.
Towels and locks MUST be furnished by participants.
Birthday party packages are open to both JMU and non-JMU affiliates.
