Who is eligible?
Any established JMU Alumni. Alumni will be verified based on the records kept by the
Office of Alumni Relations. Packages are also available for spouses and dependents of Alumni.
What types of memberships are available?
Individual |
This is a membership for JMU graduates to gain access to UREC during Alumni Access hours, family hours and break hours. Alumni members will not have the option to participate in any programs and/or activities that require registration. |
Individual Plus Spouse |
The Individual Plus Spouse has been established for Alumni to purchase membership for their spouse. Individual Plus Spouse members will have access to UREC during Alumni Access hours, family hours and break hours. Individual Plus Spouse members will not have the option to participate in any programs and/or activities that require registration. |
Dependents |
This type of membership was established for Alumni to purchase limited access for dependents. The Dependent's Membership can not be purchased without the purchasing of an Individual Membership or Individual Plus Spouse membership and must be done at the beginning of a contract. Dependent's Membership will only have access to the facility during family hours and break hours. Dependents must be accompanied by an Alumni Access Card (AAC) holder at all times. Dependent members will not have the option to participate in any programs and/or activities that require registration. |
What can I use in the building?
Alumni members can participate in all types of activities and programs that are sure to meet their fitness needs and goals. Access includes:

Alumni Memberships can not be used for programs requiring registration.
What hours can I use the facility?
Individual and Individual Plus Spouse Memberships can access UREC during Alumni Access hours as follows:
Monday - Thursday: 6:30am - 2:00pm and 9:00pm - 11:30pm
Friday: 6:30am - 2:00pm and 6:00pm - 10:00pm
Saturday: 9:00am - 10pm
Sunday: Noon - 6:00pm and 9:00pm - 11:30pm
Dependent Memberships will only have access to the facility during family hours and break hours. UREC Family and Break hours are as follows:
Family Hours: Friday, 6:00 pm - Sunday, 6:00 pm
Break Hours: Will fall in accordance to the University calendar. Times can be found on the UREC website.
Note: Actual semester dates dependent on University Calendar. Building hours subject to change during University breaks and holidays.

How do I pay?
Payments for memberships can be made by check only.
Where can I park?
Alumni members will have the option of purchasing a parking permit (paid to Parking Services) that will allow them to park in a designated lot near UREC during access hours in order to visit the facility. Parking permits must be purchased at the Parking Office located in the Parking Deck. If members choose not to purchase a parking pass they will need to find other means of transportation to the facility. Members choosing to purchase a parking pass will need to pay the fees listed below.
