TIME: Saturday, November 7, 2009 at approximately 11:30pm
SUSPECT:
Three black males
In compliance with the "Timely Notice"
provisions of the federal Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security
Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act of
1998 the University Police are giving notice of an incident
involving an alleged assault and battery that occurred off campus.
The JMU Police Department has just been notified of
the following incident: Saturday, November 7th, 2009 at
approximately11:30pm, 3 black males all wearing red
shirts, approached and assaulted two victims on the 1800 block of Putter Court.
The suspects then left the scene on foot. Both victims were transported to
Rockingham Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Members of the University community are urged to be
vigilant and report any unusual circumstances and/or suspicious
activities/persons immediately to law enforcement.
