 The R.A.D. Program AT JMU




The Rape Aggression Defense System is a program of realistic self-defense tactics and techniques. It is a comprehensive course for WOMEN that begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction and avoidance, while progressing to the basics of hands-on defense training. R.A.D. is not a martial arts program. R.A.D. Systems is dedicated to teaching women defensive concepts and techniques system of realistic defense moves and education will provide a woman with the knowledge to make an educated decision about resistance. All participants receive a lifetime free return and practice policy! R.A.D. Systems is the largest self-defense program in the country. The R.A.D. program at JMU is taught by certified R.A.D. instructors from the JMU Police Department

There is a registration fee of $25.00 per participant for this program. It is a one time fee for life. Please contact Sgt. Debby Spart to register for the program at 540-568-6910 or email at spartda@jmu.edu

The first class of the Fall semester 2011 is meeting Tuesday, September 20, 2010 at the JMU Police Department at 5:00PM. Subsequent classes will be held at the Godwin Hall combative room in the same time slot. Classes will meet from 5:00PM to 7:00PM, two hours a week, for six weeks from September 20th until October 25th.
