DESCRIPTION: VEHICLE and BICYCLIST ACCIDENT - Carrier Drive at C7 lot entrance - operator pulled out in the face of oncoming bicyclist. The operator was cited for failure to yield to oncoming traffic. The bicyclist was cited for failure to have bicycle properly lighted during dusk or hours of darkness. The bicyclist was injured and treated at RMH. He was wearing black sweat pants and a grey shirt, and no helmet at the time of the accident.

DESCRIPTION: DIP/DISORDERLY CONDUCT - Various Campus Areas, car cruising through campus - one of the three occupants was hanging out of front, right side open window, yelling at female students. Officer observed vehicle on Carrier Drive, following it onto University Blvd. He observed subject hanging out yelling at women. He got the operator to pull over and stop. Occupant on passenger side was intoxicated. Operator and passenger in rear seat were cooperative and appeared to not have had anything to drink. While the intoxicated subject (non student) was being placed in custody, the operator (and back seat passenger) took off in the direction of Port Road. Officers searched the area for the vehicle without positive results. The arrested subject threw something from the vehicle before it was stopped. The object was recovered, it being a camera loaded with film, which will be processed. Investigation continues on identities of the other occupants and their whereabouts.

DESCRIPTION: UNDERAGED POSSESSION/FAILURE TO STOP AT "STOP" INTERSECTION - Carrier Dr near College Center - officer observed car fail to stop. While following, he observed one of the occupants throw open, partially full container of beer from auto. When stopped, all occupants denied having any beer. Officer observed cold unopened can of beer hidden on floor. Operator stated he was from another school and was unfamiliar with the campus and the stop sign. Driver was charged with both offenses.

Victim was initially undecided on whether to support charges against the two, non-JMU students. Victim sustained facial injuries requiring sutures to close. Reference case # 00-4084.
