The Department of Public Safety actively promotes a proactive approach to crime prevention through coordination of programs for students and faculty/staff given by police officers of the University. Information is provided to new students though their residence halls, student handbook, information fairs, and other sources to increase the public's awareness of preventative steps they can take to reduce the chances of becoming a victim of crime.
