Provost/Senior Vice President Search Update

From Mark J. Warner
Chair Provost Search Committee

Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the Provost Search Committee, I would like to update you on our search process and progress.  As a result of our nationwide search, the candidate pool was large and very competitive.

I first want to thank all of you who provided input on the front end of the process.  Your thoughts were very helpful as we screened applicants and narrowed the pool.

In October our committee conducted a round of interviews, and from that group we have chosen three finalists.  The finalists will be on campus during two weeks in November.

We are very excited to announce our finalists:

For each candidate we have provided a link to access their credentials.  An evaluation link will become “live” on the website when the on-campus interviews begin.

I do want to highlight an integral component of the interview process.  As a committee, we felt that it was extremely important to provide all members of the university community an opportunity to participate in the process.  We have scheduled an open forum for each candidate.  All members of the university community are invited to attend.

We do want to hear your thoughts regarding the candidates.  Please complete the evaluation forms for the candidates, using the link that will be provided on the website.  We ask that you post your feedback by 5:00pm on Monday, November 28th.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Mark J. Warner
Chair, Provost Search Committee
