Vendor Onboarding

This page in intended to serve as the primary location for vendors starting to do business with JMU.  The information, registration sites, and forms are all things a new vendor should consider in their efforts to work with the University.

eVA Registration - eVA (Electronic Virginia) is the procurement system of the Commonwealth of Virginia.  JMU utilizes this system to send solications to vendors and to process purchase orders.  Vendors should be registered in the eVA system.  For assistance or questions contact 540-568-4520.

SWaM Certification - JMU has an active supplier diversity program.  Vendors that qualify as a Small, Woman-Owned, or Minority-Owned business should certify the business with the Commonwealth of Virginia through the Department of Minority Business Enterprise.  For assistance or questions contact 540-568-4520.

CLC Licensing - Vendors that will reproduce any JMU logo / graphic should be licensed by the Collegiate Licensing Company.  The JMU Foundation requires this licensing and an identity policy is in place at the University.  For assistance or questions contact 540-568-3913.

W-8 / W-9 Forms - Vendors must complete either a W-8 or W-9 in order to receive payments from the University.  For assistance or questions contact 540-568-2941.

Vendor Payment Options - JMU has several vendor payment options.  Vendors should consider all options and work with University staff to determine the best one for their situation.  For assistance or questions contact 540-568-8061.

Parking Permits - JMU has permit parking across campus.  Vendors should understand the parking policies and consider purchasing a vendor parking permit from Parking Services.  For assistance or questions contact 540-568-3300.

Gate Permits - Application forms for gate permits are available at Parking Services, located on the ground floor of the Champions Drive Parking Deck, or in PDF format on the Parking Services website at web.jmu.edu/parking/forms.asp.  Please allow three to five days processing for applications submitted.  Gates are in operation Monday through Thrusday from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm and on Friday from 7:00 am until 1:00 pm.  Gates are open on Fridays after 1:00 pm and all day on weekends, holidays and during May and Summer sessions.
