Typewriters
Typewriters are on a state contract, which is the preferred source. Go to the Division of Purchases and Supply page and click on the State Contracts link. When you have entered the Contracts page, enter "typewriter" in the contract description field. NOTE: You must also check for changes to this contract. Typewriters on the contract may be purchased using a Departmental Purchase Order (DPO) as long as the total cost is under $5,000. To purchase a typewriter not on the contract, the requesting department must complete a Requisition for Purchase and attach a justification explaining why a typewriter on contract will not meet the departments needs and why purchasing a typewriter not on the contract is in the best interests of the Commonwealth. Send the Requisition, along with the justification, to Procurement or to Accounting and Reporting if the dollar amount exceeds $5000.00.
