A listing of state contracts is available at the DPS Master Contract list website. Most of these contracts are for the entire state, however some of the contracts are limited to specific agencies and are not for use by JMU.
Term contracts are established by the Department of General Services' Division of Purchases and Supply to obtain more favorable prices through volume purchasing and to reduce procurement lead time and administrative effort. State contracts are the preferred source for the purchase.
Contracts are for the benefit of the Commonwealth of Virginia, its agencies and institutions. They do not apply to State employees or other individuals, and purchasing from State contracts by individuals directly or by using institution orders with subsequent reimbursement to the institution is prohibited.
