Office of President Directory
The President has the general responsibility for the administration of the university and is appointed by the JMU Board of Visitors. The President and his immediate support staff are located on the second floor of Alumnae Hall.
Office of the Special Assistant to the President for Diversity
The Office of the Special Assistant to the President for Diversity is responsible for spreading the diversity initiative across campus. This office oversees the Office of Equal Opportunity as well as the Centennial Scholars, Preparing Future Faculty and the Professor-in-Residence Programs.
Office of Audit and Management Services
The Office of Audit and Management Services reports to both the Board of Visitors and the President of the University. The Office provides an independent, objective assurance and consulting activity designed to add value, improve University operations and assist management in the effective discharge of their duties.
Senior Administrative Staff
The university's senior administration oversees the major divisions of the university and assists the President in the day-to-day operations of the institution. Major Divisions include: academic affairs; administration and finance; university advancement; and student affairs and university planning.
Board of Visitors
The Board of Visitors is the official governing body of the university. The members are appointed by the Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
