Application InformationThis graduate certificate program welcomes applications from:
Current JMU graduate students must submit a form requesting admission signed by their graduate advisor. This form is available from Dr. Charles Blake; please contact him via e-mail (blakech@jmu.edu) or telephone (540-568-6344). In addition, interested students must submit a one- to two-page personal statement (discussing your background and your motivations for studying international NGOs). This statement should be submitted via e-mail to Dr. Blake (at blakech@jmu.edu). All other applicants must apply for admission via the online application process run by Outreach Programs at JMU. There is a $45 application fee and students who did not get a bachelor's degree at JMU must submit academic transcripts for all their college-level studies. Application instructions and forms are available online at: http://www.jmu.edu/outreach/certificates.shtml. In addition to the online application and provision of transcripts, please submit a one- to two-page personal statement (discussing your background and your motivations for studying international NGOs) via e-mail to 2 people: Charles Blake (blakech@jmu.edu) and Theresa Jennings (jennintl@jmu.edu). If you have any difficulties with your application or registration, please e-mail outreach@jmu.edu, or call 540-568-2990. The Early Decision Deadline for applications is Friday 11/30/12. This early deadline gives admitted students more time to pursue internship opportunities. The regular application deadline is Friday 3/1/13. After March 1st, applications will be reviewed on a rolling, space-available basis. |
