Internship Web Sites

Do not count too much on 'Multiple Internship Listing' sites. Their listings are very incomplete. Some are mostly private sector. Posting these services does not constitute an endorsement. You need NOT pay for assistance in finding an internship.

Individual Agency & Organization Internship Sites: These are illustrative of what you can find if you look. This is NOT a complete list. This is not an endorsement of the organizations listed, their politics, or their internship programs. Remember: there are still some very good internships that are not listed on the web. Do not confine your search to the web.

Government and Organization Sites: These provide links to governments and organizations. Follow up to see if they offer internships.

Government Jobs: (The same people who hire are often the intern contacts).

The JMU Political Science Dept Government Jobs site provides links to most of the other sites. Please report any dead links to the Faculty Internship Coordinator.

Visit JMU's Office of Career and Academic Planning to see what they can do to help you.
