Natalie Kistner received her B.A. in International Affairs from James Madison University, her M.A. in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and her Ph.D. in Political Science from The Ohio State University. Her teaching interests are in comparative politics and include comparative political parties, political behavior, and politics in Central and Eastern Europe.
Kistner’s research focuses primarily on political parties in the new democracies of Central and Eastern Europe. Her current research examines the process of legislative party institutionalization in the case of Poland. She is also working on a project exploring how corruption affects voters’ perceptions of different political parties in Poland.
