This program is open to students from all majors and from all U.S. colleges and universities. Preference will be given to students who will have completed intermediate Spanish (SPAN 232 or the equivalent) by the end of the spring 2008 semester. It is also possible to apply if you will complete intermediate Spanish by the end of the first 4-week summer session at JMU.
The application deadline is 11/15/07. Applicants will be notified of their status by
early December.
Application forms and instructions are available on the JMU Office of International Programs application instruction page. The forms are to be submitted to the JMU Office of International Programs in JMAC 6, Suite 22 (just over one block from the intersection of South Main Street and Warsaw Avenue). Contact information for OIP is available on the form itself or on the OIP application instruction page. Beyond the form itself, no additional materials (essays, recommendations, etc.) are needed unless you are not a JMU student. Interested students from outside JMU need to submit an official transcript from their college or university along with their application form.
