Gary Clemens has served as the Clerk of the Circuit Court for the past 17 years. More information regarding these customer service programs and the services provided by the clerk of the circuit court can be found at www.loudoun.gov/clerk and www.clerkclemens.com.  Previously, Gary worked as a criminal investigator, a deputy clerk in the Fairfax County Circuit Court and as a paralegal. Gary has a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from James Madison University and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from George Mason University. Gary has served as the president for the Virginia Association of Constitutional Officers and as the president of the Virginia Court Clerks’ Association (VCCA.)    Gary is active in several community service organizations serving on the Board of Directors for the Loudoun County United Way, Board of Directors for the Loudoun Destination Foundation, the Loudoun County Patriot Project and the Loudoun Free Clinic.  Gary coached or officiated youth sports in Loudoun County for 21 years including the Dulles Little League, Farmwell Station Basketball League and Loudoun Youth Soccer Association. Gary has lived in Loudoun County for 50 years, currently residing in Ashburn with his wife Maria (JMU Class of 1988).  They have three sons, Zachary (JMU Class of 2014), Nathaniel (who attends the College of William and Mary) and Joel (who is a freshman at JMU.) The family attends Saint Theresa’s Church in Ashburn.  When Gary has spare time, he enjoys the outdoors, sports and music.
