Biography Professor Adolino
received a B.A. in Politics from Fairfield University, Fairfield, CT in
1984 and the Ph.D. in Political Science from the Ohio State University
in 1993. She has been teaching at JMU since Fall 1994. In General Education,
she teaches a course on global politics. She also teaches an upper level
Political Science course on Western European politics and the senior seminar
in International Affairs. Her research interests primarily lie in the
area of British politics, particularly concerning the participation of
ethnic minorities in British political life. She has recently published
a book in this area, titled Ethnic Minorities, Electoral Politics
and Political Integration in Britain (Pinter 1998). At present, she
is completing a textbook for Congressional Quarterly, co-authored with
Professor Blake, comparing public policies of the advanced industrialized
nations. She is also working on a book on the changing European political
environment with Rowman and Littlefield publishers. Dr. Adolino is the Director of the new Master's Degree in European Union Policy Studies set in Florence, Italy. For more information on this program, click here. |
