The department offers undergraduate majors in political science, public policy & administration, and international affairs. We also offer minors in public policy & administration and (with the School of Communication Studies) political communication.
At the graduate level, we offer a Master of Public Administration degree, an M.A. degree in political science with a concentration in European Union Policy Studies, and a graduate certificate program in international NGO management.
Over the past several years the political science department has experienced strong student interest in the political science, international affairs, and public policy & administration majors. In order to ensure quality instruction for our students, we have limited the number of students who can major in these programs. We also require that students complete a preparation program of courses prior to admission to these majors.
