DIRECTIONS: Traveling Eastbound/Westbound (via Long Island Expressway)

Take the LIE (Route 495) to Searingtown Road (Exit 36). Travel North on Searingtown Road toward the town of Port Washington. Searingtown Road crosses over Northern Blvd (Route 25A) and changes names to Port Washington Blvd. Continue traveling North on Port Washington Blvd. Go through town of Port Washington, pass Post Office and St. Peter’s church (both on right). The road name will change again to Middle Neck Road. Continue North, pass the United Methodist Church (on right). The landscape will change to a residential/rural area. Look for iron gates on the right and a sign for the Sands Point Preserve. Make right into the gates of the preserve and then the first left into the parking lot for Helen Keller National Center. Follow signs to JMU Send-Off Picnic.
