Getting to and from JMU

We love it when family members can spend time with JMU students at their campus home, whether for Family Weekend, a campus tour, or a relaxing weekend in Harrisonburg. To make your visit easier, The Office of Parent Relations has compiled a list of local hotels, motels and bed and breakfasts, plus information about Harrisonburg.  

Have a student trying to get home? In general, freshmen are not allowed to have a car on campus their first year. Coming home for visits may seem like a challenge, especially since sometimes parents can't drive to pick up their student or want to encourage their student to take the initiative of finding their own means of transportation. We have solutions that may help.
