Colangelo's New York / New Jersey Bus Schedule

Students and Parents:

My name is Guy Colangelo, son of MaryLou and Guy Colangelo, Alumni of the JMU Parent's Council.  This letter is to inform you that the Thanksgiving and Christmas break buses will be available for its 11th year.  Though it may not be the most fashionable way to travel, it is quick, safe and convenient.  It is also easier than you, as a parent, having to drive 400 miles or more in each direction to bring your son/daughter home for the holidays.

The bus for the Thanksgiving vacation will be leaving JMU from the Godwin Parking Lot on Tuesday, 11/26/02, at 1 p.m. sharp!!  DO NOT BE LATE.  The first drop off point will be at the Vince Lombardi Rest Area located off the N.J. turnpike, between interchanges 18E/18W and the George Washington Bridge, at app. 8 p.m.  The second drop off point will be will be at the Rte. 110 Huntington Park and Ride, Exit 49, off the L.I. Expressway, at app. 9 p.m.  On Sunday, 12/01/02, the bus will depart the Park and Ride at 12 p.m. sharp!!  It will then pick up at the Vince Lombardi Rest Area app. 1 p.m.  PLEASE ARRIVE EARLY.  I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH!!!!!!!!

The bus for the Christmas vacation will be leaving from the JMU Godwin Parking Lot on Friday, 12/13/02 at 1 p.m. sharp.  DO NOT BE LATE!!!  The drop off points and times will be the same as above.  The return date on Sunday, 1/12/03, will have the same pick-up points and times as above.  PLEASE ARRIVE EARLY.  I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH!!!!!

***Please Note- Seats are limited.  Therefore, reservations are only taken upon the receipt of a check/money order received by October 31 for the Thanksgiving bus and November 30 for the Christmas bus, in the amount of $140 for each round trip.  Buses fill very quickly; I recommend not waiting till the deadline.  There are no one-way tickets.  Please make checks payable to Guy Colangelo, 2 Leslie Lane, Smithtown, NY  11787.  (Please make out two separate checks if you are taking both trips.)  Must provide the following: Two (2) self-addressed stamped envelopes, one with the students name and campus address, the other with your home address and the registration form.  Upon receiving this information, you and your student will be mailed his/her confirmation and/or decline letter(s) shortly after.  Be sure to present a valid form of I.D. on the day of the departure from campus, and the day of the departure from home

All seats are NON-REFUNDABLE and are on a first-come first-serve basis.  It is possible that your student may have a reserved spot on one bus and not be able to get on the other.   When the bus is filled, I will return your check ASAP.  If you have any questions, please contact me at (631) 724-8009 or e-mail me at guycolangelo@hotmail.com.
