Tuition Rates

We are currently offering a $100 discount on in-state and out-of-state tuition. As a result, tuition is $700 per credit hour for in-state students (vs. $800), and $710 per credit hour for out-of-state students (vs. $810).

Current tuition rates are for 2023-24. Rates in future academic years may differ.

Financial Aid

The program is structured so that you can pay as you go and spread out the cost of tuition. If you need financial assistance, you have options.

  • You may be eligible for a Federal Direct Student Loan. To apply, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or call the Office of Financial Aid at (540) 568-7820.
  • JMU’s Office of Financial Aid manages scholarships and private loans for graduate students. Please contact the Office of Financial Aid (540) 568-7820 for more information.
