Transfer Housing

There is a limited amount of on-campus housing available for incoming transfer students for the spring semester. On-campus housing for transfer students is not guaranteed. Transfer housing requests are considered on a first come, first served basis. If housing contracts are available, you will receive a contract offer to your JMU email address. You will have a limited amount of time to accept this binding contract offer. Unfortunately the Housing Office cannot specify when offers will be made. Once you have accepted your contract offer, the Housing Office will place you in a vacant space in an upperclass hall. New Transfer Students interested in on-campus housing should complete a Housing Application through the Online Housing System.

In the event that you are not offered a housing contract, you should secure off-campus housing. You can find information about off-campus properties and helpful resources at the Off Campus Life Office.

Questions or concerns should be directed to the Housing Office at (540) 568-4663 or res-life@jmu.edu
