Damage and Vandalism

Students and their guests will be held responsible for any damage, theft or act of vandalism of university property both in private and public areas of the residence halls. This includes extra housekeeping services required for the removal of blood-borne pathogens (vomit, blood, bodily fluids, etc.). Students may be held accountable for damage that happens to/from the exterior of doors, windows and screens. Bills for the cost of repair will go to the accountable students.

Our Mission Statement

The Office of Residence Life at James Madison University is committed to designing and maintaining a caring environment that encourages academic success, respect, personal growth and responsibility to one's community.
