Resident Maintenance Request

Residents may submit maintenance requests for repairs required in their room, suite and/or private bathroom. They should see their RA or House Manager for all other types of maintenance requests. Routine maintenance requests are usually completed within 3 days.

If a resident has an emergency maintenance request it is better to contact your RA, Hall Director or House Manager directly instead of putting in an online request. Emergency maintenance requests can also be called into ORL Business Operations at 568-7576 during the hours of 7:30am ~ 5:00pm Monday through Friday. After 5:00pm or on weekends call Work Control at 568-6101. Please do not call this number during regular business hours.

An emergency is anything which would pose a threat to the health or safety of a resident or could cause damage to the facility. Some examples of emergencies are: a clogged commode when there is only 1 commode in a bathroom, an overflowing commode, no heat in a room, no lights in a room, broken window, a suite or room door that won't lock. These maintenance requests are usually completed within 24 hours.

For vending issues, please call Vending directly at 86363.

If a washer or dryer is broken:

    1. Call Caldwell-Gregory at 1-800-927-9274.
    2. Put an "out of order" sign on it so others won't continue to use it.
    3. If money has been lost in the machine, please call 87576 Monday ~ Friday, 8am – 5pm for a refund. You can pick up the refund in B101 Huffman Hall with proper ID.
