Bell Hall

Bell Hall, a residence hall completed in 1982, was named for Francis Bell Jr., former rector of the JMU Board of Visitors.

Bell reflects a corridor design with double occupancy rooms and community baths located on each floor. Each community bath is cleaned by housekeeping staff on a regular basis.

Bell Hall also has a kitchen facility with microwave oven, vending services, carpeted study lounge, TV lounge, and laundry facilities. Wireless internet access is available near the TV lounge.

A typical room in Bell Hall has:

  • Two single beds with innerspring mattresses, all bunkable
  • Two individual desks with chairs
  • Two free standing wardrobes
  • Two chests of drawers
  • Fluorescent lighting 
  • Mini blinds or roller shades
  • TV cable hookup and internet access (wired)
  • Tiled floors
  • This building is air-conditioned
