Graduation Club Goals and Objectives

Goal 1. Students will be able to recognize common reading and study strategies.

Objective:

  1. Students will be able to match their learning style with study techniques.
  2. Students will be able t define common study strategies.
  3. Students will be able to list 5 personal or environmental factors affecting their studying.
  4. Students will be able to recognize general reading strategies and ways to use a textbook.
  5. Students will be able to implement effective note taking methods.

Goal 2. Students will become familiar with different time and stress management strategies.

Objective:

  1. Students will be able to identify physical reactions associated with stress
  2. Students will be able to identify reasons for procrastination and possible solutions.
  3. Students will be able to identify 4 healthy ways of coping with/handling stress
  4. Students will be able to identify time management strategies

Goal 3. Students will learn how to improve relationships with faculty members.

Objective:

  1. Students will be able to list ways in which they can enhance their academic relationship with a professor
  2. Students will be able to list expectations faculty members have of a typical students.

Goal 4. Students will learn how to set goals.

Objectives:

  1. Student will be able to name seven aspects to SMART/ER goal setting
  2. Students will be able to set 3 goals for themselves.
