Welcome Transfer Students!

Even though Transfer Springboard has passed, we still need you to complete ALL of the steps on the Transfer One Book Web site, especially "Step 4: Make Your Orientation Reservation". Below are specific directions on how to complete Step 4. After reading all information on this page, click on the link at the bottom to get to the Transfer One Book Web site.

On "Step 4: Make Your Orientation Reservation", you will be prompted to declare your major and preference three dates. After declaring your major, select any three dates, check the “Unable to attend Transfer Summer Springboard” and submit your reservation. Submitting your “Unable to attend Transfer Springboard” reservation will confirm that you plan to attend JMU in the fall.

Contact the academic department of your major to set up an advising appointment in August.

Attend the Transfer Advising Session in August. On Friday, August 22, there is a make-up advising session for transfers who missed the June orientation. It is very important that you attend this session; we will discuss university requirements, transfer credit evaluation policies, registration and add/drop procedures. Check-in between 11:30am-12:30pm in Taylor Down Under on the first floor of Taylor Hall to get your Transfer 1787 Schedule and other materials you will need for the program.
