Three
Favorite Things About JMU: School spirit and general enthusiasm about life, seeing the
mountains from anywhere on campus, living in the East Campus
Library
How did you know that James Madison University was right for you? The first time I stepped foot on campus I could feel the warm and welcoming atmosphere. It inspired me to become a part of the community and to get involved as much as possible when I had never felt that way about anything before. JMU now feels more like home than home and I know I won't ever want to leave.

Three
Favorite Things About JMU: How did you know that James Madison University was right for you? Starting over again was so daunting. I was worried that I would get lost on this huge campus or that I would just be a number and feel like transferring again. Everyone went out of their way to make sure I knew where I was going and to answer all of my questions. At JMU, people have fun and actually care about each other and the community. It's the perfect mix of studying and not taking yourself too seriously.

Three Favorite Things About JMU: 1) Hanging out at TDU 2) Waking up on Saturday mornings to crowded parking lots and purple and gold everywhere a.k.a. Football season, and 3) THE PEOPLE!
How did you know that James Madison University was right for you? Looking back, I think it was after the first couple weeks of being here and I was finally starting to realize that people were more than willing to 'adopt' me, in a sense, and make me a part of their social networks. Also, I knew that JMU was my new community after I was able to settle in and get involved with some groups on campus. Getting involved, committing to the process of adjusting to a new campus, and being whole-heartedly myself was really the key to making JMU my new campus. I was really lucky to have met the people I did and it's really awesome to look back and see how everything just fell into place after being here for a short time.

How did you know that James Madison University was right for you? I believe that every step we take falls exactly where it is supposed to. 1) The feeling of southern hospitality, when people hold the door open for you; when you can carry on a twenty minute conversation with the person making your sandwich at D-Hall, being on a first name basis with Wilma, the D-Hall punch lady. 2) Being able to play kickball on the Quad in the rain, at any time. 3) The way people remember you. We're a big university, but I can see people I had class with two semesters ago, and we still remember each other, talk to each other. People really get to know you here.
