When do we check in?
Check-in for Orientation between 7:45 am and 8:15 am at Warren Hall.
Should we check in early?
Check-in begins at 7:45 am, but if you need to take care of one of the following items, be at Warren Hall by 7:30 am:
What to Bring
• The information from this web page!
• You'll be taking your JAC (JMU Access Card) photo so bring a picture identification with your birth date, for example a driver's license.
• Official SAT II score report, AP scores and/or IB scores (if applicable and available), and dual enrollment transcripts (if applicable).
• Your JMU electronic identity username and password (the username and password you used to make your Orientation reservation). Questions? Contact the JMU Computing HelpDesk at (540) 568-3555
• An umbrella (in case of bad weather).
You'll be doing some walking so wear comfortable, casual clothes and shoes.
Health Record
Your complete health record must be on file with the University Health Center. The deadline for submitting your health record will be posted on the One Book Web site in early April.
Please note that a licensed medical provider must complete the health record. For more

Purchasing a Computer Through JMU
The JMU Bookstore Computer Program offers special academic pricing. Customized Dell and Apple computer systems have been selected to meet JMU network and academic guidelines.
JMU Bookstore staff will be available during orientation to answer all your technology questions.

Financial Aid
If you are thinking of applying for a loan, you must complete entrance loan counseling online.
The U.S. Department of Education requires entrance counseling before you can receive funds. Remember you must also have a completed Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on file to apply for any form of federal and state financial aid, including Stafford loans. Questions?
