First yeaR Orientation Guides (FROGs)

"So rarely are we given chances to connect with so many people and impact so many different lives in a positive way."

-2004 FROG

Would you like to be a mentor to first year students and have an incredibly rewarding experience? Then this is the position for you!

Orientation and First Year Experience invites applicants for First yeaR Orientation Guides (FROGs).  As a FROG, you'll work hard during training and 1787, meet some amazing people, make new friends and positively impact the lives of first year students.

FROGs are a diverse group of undergraduate students - we encourage applicants of all backgrounds, majors, involvements and interests.

Here's what former FROGs have said about their experience:

  • "You have such a positive impact on first year students."
  • "Being a FROG helped me find the leader in myself that I didn't even know existed."
  • "It was the most life changing thing I have ever done.  It is so unexplainable how much one week can change who you are and your outlook on life… I literally can't remember my life before being a FROG."
  • "The best 7 consecutive days of my life!!!"

How do I apply?

Step 1: Attend a mandatory FROG Information Session.  All applicants must attend, even if you've been a FROG before.  Here is a list of dates and times:
