Directions to Summer Springboard parking (follow these directions for the most direct route to Orientation parking and to avoid construction projects)

Northbound or Southbound on Interstate 81: Take Exit 247B (Highway 33 West). At the first traffic light, make a left onto Cantrell Avenue. Proceed through two traffic lights and then take a left into JMU Parking Lot C4.

Handicapped Parking: On Cantrell, proceed through three traffic lights to Mason Street and turn left. Go to first stop sign and turn left onto Grace Street. Follow the road until it dead ends. Handicapped parking will be to your left. You must be in possession of an officially issued handicapped parking permit (either hang tag or permanent license plate). In addition, you will need to get a Purple or Blue Zone parking permit from one our staff members. If you have special parking needs, please contact the orientation office in advance at (540) 568-1787.

Alternate Parking Directions: * Please note that construction will be taking place on Bluestone Drive and traffic will be reduced to one lane. * Take I-81 to Exit 245. If you’ve been traveling north-bound, at the top of the ramp, turn left onto Port Republic Road and at the second light turn right onto Bluestone Drive. If you’ve been traveling southbound, turn right at the top of the ramp and make the next right onto Bluestone Drive. Continue on Bluestone Drive and at the second traffic light turn right onto Duke Drive. Follow Duke Drive to the stop sign at Paul Street. Turn left onto Paul Street and proceed to the stop light at Cantrell Avenue. Turn left and make an immediate left into JMU Parking Lot C4.

Parking in lots other than those designated for orientation parking may result in ticketing. Please only park in Lot C4, or marked handicapped spaces for those in possession of a valid handicap permit.
