The Young Greens of JMU are a political organization that works with Green Party Shenandoah Valley. We are dedicated to bringing Grass-Roots Democracy and a Sustainable Environment to the forefront of politics here in Harrisonburg.

So far, we have worked on the Dale Diaz for Delegate campaign. With our help, she was able to get 6% of the vote in a three-way election (against both a Democrat and a Republican). This was the first campaign that the Greens have ever run in Harrisonburg.

Now we are preparing for the Key For Council Campaign. Michael Key, a local student, is running for City Council of Harrisonburg. It is now our job to motivate students to vote as well as get our ideas out to the community.
