2006 Convention Highlights

CALLING ALL TECHIES, SHUTTERBUGS, AND MUSIC BUFFS!  Throughout convention, we will need people to snap candid shots of participants and activities that will be loaded onto a computer as a photo montage, set to music, and played at the banquet for everyone's enjoyment.  So, if this is of interest to you, please send me an e-mail at sharon.schnarre@utoledo.edu to let me know you want to help with this project.

SERVICE PROJECTS

This year we are planning several service projects.  Plan a fund-raiser specifically to help you earn money to purchase items for the following two projects:

Books and Toys for Tots - Every convention attendee should plan on bringing either a children's book or a toy for distribution to St. Louis area hospitals and/or shelters.

Personal Products for the Homeless- We are planning on taking personal items to homeless shelters in the area.  So gather together items like toothpaste/brushes, disposable razors, soap, deodorant, shampoo, etc. and bring to convention for distribution.

Other possible service projects include a blood drive and cleaning up a local neighborhood.

HELP PLAN THE NEXT AED NATIONAL CONVENTION

We want YOUR input.  Do you have ideas of how to make the 2008 AED Convention even BETTER and MORE informative and FUN?  Here is your chance!  Please come to brainstorm and share your thoughts and suggestions with the AED National Officers.

 VISIT OUR EXHIBITORS' BOOTHS

Dance the Night Away - following Awards Banquet

Convention comes to a close with the Awards Banquet featuring a Convention Retrospective.  Attire for the banquet and dance is semi-formal, so pack some stylin' clothes and polish up those dancing shoes!
