Each Classic PIO Collection provides 40 image variations (20 objects with two views, 3/4, and straight on) with the exception of the Classic Fabrics PIO Collection (vol. 1), which is a two-disc set with 40 very distinct patterns. All of the professionally photographed images are drum scanned, contain an Alpha Channel Outline Mask and a hand-edited PostScript Path, and are saved in the RGB .TIFF ver. 6.0 format. In addition, several of the image objects feature a special transparency value that allows for background visibility. The Classic PIO Collections have a retail price of $69.95 (U.S.) except for the Classic PIO Sampler and Classic Fabrics PIO Collection. The Classic PIO Sampler is priced at $49.95 (U.S.). It contains 40 image variations that are representative of the Classic PIO Library but are not duplicated on any of the collections. The Classic Fabrics PIO Collection is retailed for $99 (U.S.) because it features 40 very distinct background patterns in a two-disc set. The entire Classic PIO Library retails for $499.
