GRADS Meeting
November 12, 2000

The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m.

I. Formal Business

Rachel gave a report from the community service committee. There were about 25 responses to the community service survey. Everyone indicated that they’re interested in a series of one time events helping the Harrisonburg Community.

We have adopted two families for the Christmas season and will be collecting food, clothing and toys for their Christmas presents. Rachel will be sending out a list of the requested items.

The deadline for donations is Wed Dec. 6th. We discussed setting up a date/time to meet the families before everyone leaves for break (will be finalize later).

Aimee suggested a Christmas gift exchange at the end of the progressive dinner (roughly $5 gifts) and is looking for drivers for that night, please email feedback to johnsoaj.

If you have news you would like to send to everyone please pass it along to Laura (not Scott).

The end of the semester is approaching and everyone has a hectic schedule, but everyone has to take a break to eat so we ask everyone to bring $2 or $3 dollars to the next meeting to chip in for pizza. So you can have dinner and discuss GRADS business at the same time.
