Troika

 A Russian dance representing the Troika, a harness three horses abreast to pull a load.  Performed in groups of three, in a line holding hands, with several lines together arranged like spokes on a wheel. 

 Counts   Steps

1-16            run or prance forward in LOD

 1-8                 outside person passes under the joined arms of the middle and inside person

9-16            inside person passes under the joined arms of the middle and outside person

          * only the middle person and the ducking person turn… the third person just waits

 1-12            join hands in a small circle of three, run or grapevine in RLOD

13-15       Stomp! Stomp! Stomp!

16                    all yell “hey!”

 1-12            (about that many counts) in circles of three, circle LOD until the middle person is facing LOD

13-16  end people raise joined hands to make an arch, middle person goes under arch and on to the next set of three
