Kanonwalzer

A German dance.  We use it to end every dance we do.

Each single count below signifies one 1-2-3 measure.

1-8                 gently sway arms in-2-3 out-2-3

9-16            sway left, right, etc

17-24       walk to the left, start with L foot

25-32       walk to the right, start with R

33-40       right hands around with partner

41-48       left hands around with partner

Repeat all this choreography once

The dance repeats twice, and at the end everyone will hug around each others' waists.

Dancers are arranged with partners in circles: three circles inside each other.

The centermost circle begins the choreography after an 8 measure intro.

The second circle begins after 16 measures, the outside after 24, so that the choreography is performed like a round.  Once the first circle finishes the first piece of choreography, the second circle picks up with that same first piece.

At the end in the hug, the center circle will sway LRLR..., the second circle will sway RLRL, and the outside will sway LRLR, so that you're moving opposite of the people in front of you.

Keep swaying until the music ends.  There's a quiet moment where there's an opportunity to thank any guests, musicians, make announcements, or whatever else.
