Doudlebska Polka or Sternpolka

Doudlebska Polka is the Czechoslovakian name, Sternpolka (“star polka”) is the German.  It’s the same dance.  This dance is a mixer and begins with a partner, doing polka turns.

1-16      polka turns

1-16      promenade in conversation position, all are singing; her right hand on her hip and left on his near shoulder, his right hand around her waist and left hand extended to rest on the left shoulder of the man in front of him.  You can make one big circle or several small ones.

1-16      SHE turns out to her right to two-step around the circle in RLOD, hands on hips

HE faces in and claps 1 2 3 hey!

When the music changes again she’ll be behind a new partner, he turns to face her, polka to begin the dance again
