Michelle Lancaster currently works on Capitol Hill as a
Press Aide for the Democratic Communications Committee, one of three Senate leadership committees.
As a debater, Michelle qualified to compete in the National Debate Tournament three times, and
was chosen among a highly selective group of students to debate on the U.S. International Debate Team, which
toured in Japan. In addition to debate, Michelle worked as an office assistant at the School of Communication
Studies; acted as Senator in JMU's
Student Government Assocation;
and interned for Delegate Mark Cole of the
Virginia General Assembly. Michelle graduated from JMU with a degree in Political Science and minor
concentrations in Public Administration and Political Communications; in the near future, she plans to attend
graduate school and specialize in public policy work.

Catherine "Cate" Morrison currently attends the
University of Pittsburgh as a graduate student
in the Department of Communication, where she specializes in public argument and deliberation, political and
economic rhetoric, and philosophy of communication.
As a debater, Cate qualified to compete in the National Debate Tournament her junior and senior year, and reached
the elimination rounds of nearly all the tournaments she competed in including 2003 CEDA Nationals, Georgia State,
Wake Forest, USC and UC-Fullerton with her partner, Michelle. She also taught at the University of Texas Debate
Institutes and the Capitol Classic Debate Institute in Washington, D.C. In addition to debate,
Cate was member of JMU's Young Democrats. Cate graduated magna cum laude with a degree in
English and a minor concentration in Economics, and can be found assistant coaching the U-Pitt debate team.

Lisa Tawil is currently in New York City making aspiring to work in the highly
competitive music industry. In debate, Lisa was given the position
of Public Debate Coordinator and was instrumental in organizing the Morning After Pill Public
Debate that was featured on the
front page
of JMU's student-run newspaper, The Breeze,
the following week. She also participated in
The Madison Cup Debate that was televised
over the Internet. In addition to debate, Lisa volunteered at St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital
and Up Til' Dawn, a fundraising effort for kids with cancer. Lisa Tawil graduated from JMU with a degree in Communications
and minor concentration in Music Industry, and plans to use her education to foster greater discussion of domestic and international
socioeconomic conditions of today's youth.

Leonard "Lenny" Tengco currently attends the
Michigan State University College of Law
and plans a career in trial advocacy. In
addition to debate, Lenny was a resident advisor at the Madison International Hall; Supplemental Instructor
for the Office of Student Success; communications intern at the National
Organization for Women; research intern at the International Center for Terrorism Studies; President of Eagle Hall,
the largest residence hall at JMU; and contributing member to the Conference on Asian Pacific American
Leadership. In addition to his degrees in Economics and
Political Science, Lenny is the first man to have graduated
from JMU with a minor concentration in Women's Studies. He is the webmaster of
The Model Minority, a website
dedicated to the advancement and awareness of Asian Pacific American rights, and the former webmaster of the
official debate website.

John Willemin currently works for a software development
company in Alexandria, VA that helps law enforcement agencies effectively coordinate information sharing. As a debater,
John qualified to compete in the National Debate Tournament three years in a row, and won
the top speaker award at the American Debate Association National Tournament in 1999; he was also
the former webmaster of the official debate website. In
addition to debate, John worked in the information technology department at the
University Recreation Center
as a computer technician. John graduated from JMU with a degree in Integrated Science and Technology and
a minor concentration in Computer Science, and can be found assisting the
George Mason University debate team with research and argumentation.

Andrew "Andy" Wilson currently works as a recreational technician
in Charlottesville, VA and specializes in physical and emotional developmental practices for
children and young adults. As a debater, Andy was known to be a devestating force in his
division and ability to stay collected during pressured situations. In
addition to debate, Andy played the drums and performed stand-up comedy at undisclosed venues
throughout JMU. Andy graduated from JMU with a degree in Communication Studies, and can be found
judging for the JMU Debate Team at regional tournaments throughout the east coast.
