September 17th Meeting

To all ACHESA members:

The meeting began with introductions of the exec. and
members. Matt Contento is president, Lucas Hutchinson is
VP, Julie Howard is Treasurer, and Carrie Hinton is
secretary and last but definitely not least - Dr. Thompson
is our advisor.

It was a delight to see all of the old members as well as
the new faces.

Everyone sighned up for committees and committee heads and
Lucas will announce them at the next meeting.

Julie collected dues. They are $15 for the semester and
$30 for the year. Also, national dues are $40. Make the
check payable to ACHESA and give it to Julie Howard.

We will be having a social picnic at Purcell Park this
Friday from 3-4pm. I passed around a sign-up sheet for
paper products and food/drink. Please come and get to know
everyone in ACHESA. It won't take much of your time and it
will be fun!!!

I also passed around a sheet to determine when the best
time to hold meetings would be. I will send an email out
and post flyers in the modular as to when the next meeting
will be held. We are still working on an attendance policy
and we will announce it at the next meeting.

ACHESA is going to tailgate at the Homecoming game this
year!!!! We are going to invite all ACHESA alumni so if
you know any of them please inform them. I have email
addresses of some but if you have phone numbers/emails of
any alumni please send it to me.

I made an announcement about the MCV open house. It will
be held on Oct. 9 (the Friday of fall break)from 8:30 -
3:30. There will be speakers and info. regarding
interviews and resumes. It would be beneficial if you are
interested in grad school. Please let me know if you are
interested because I must RSVP to Carrie Owen. Let me know
ASAP because the spaces are limited.
