I called role and inadvertantly left out a new member.
Welcome to ACHESA Katherine McElroy.

Kevin reviewed the attendance policy. I hope you all
listened because it has been in effect since last semester.
Please don't forget to let me know 24-HOURS IN ADVANCE if
you will not be able to attend an ACHESA meeting. I need
to know this for my attendance records and in calcuating
participation.
FYI:
There was a mistake on Kevin's copy of the attendance
policy. An excused absence will not give you 1 point.
However, your excused absences will be taken into
consideration at the end of the semester when Exec. reviews
the status of each member.

Congratulations to Cathy Grizzard for being recognized as
ACHESA's outstanding member for participation (fall 1997).
Hope you can put your gift certificate to good use!

Congratulations also to Julie Howard for being elected
Treasurer of ACHESA. She will be taking over for our
beloved Shannon after spring break and continuing on
through next spring. Shannon will be interning in Northern
Virginia at Kaiser Permanente. Good luck!!!

ACHESA Initiation will be February 24th at 7 p.m. in Mrs.
Greens. The menu is planned and following is the list of

dining services (I have you down as using a punch) as well
as which punch/dining plan you will be using. If your name
does not have an asterisk behind it and you can use a punch
please let me know ASAP!!! Please call me at 574-0892 to
give me that information.

Our next meeting will be held on Thursday, February 19th at
5:30 p.m. in MOD 123. Come late if you have class, we'd
rather have you arrive late than not at all.

Most of you know that Jackie DeSouza submitted an entry for
the Hil-Rom Essay contest sponsored by ACHE. However, I
don't think most of you know that SHE WON!!!!!! Jackie
will be recieving $3000. JMU has been recognized for two
years in a row for this award. Let's keep up the good
name. Start thinking about entering next year's
competition. Incidentally, Jackie's essay will be featured
in an upcoming publication of ACHE's so keep your eye out
for it!
