<h1>HTML Editor</h1> <p> Making Web publishing easy and simple is a goal of the OneWeb project. The WYSIWYG (What-You-See-Is-What-You-Get) editor on this page (called <a href="http://tinymce.moxiecode.com/" target="_self">TinyMCE</a>) will be an important composition tool for Web publishers in OracleAS Portal as well as in the next version of the <a href="https://www3.jmu.edu/webmanager2/" target="_self">JMU Web Manager</a> (due out this summer). </p> <p>This demo allows you to try out many of the functions of this tool. Simply edit the text already in this box (or type in some of your own) and use the editor to change the way the text and graphics are displayed.</p> <p> This demo <strong>will not allow you to save your edits.</strong> If you leave this page and return, or if you refresh the window, the content in the editor will return to its original state. </p>

Editor controls

When you mouse over each button, a Tooltip will show some information about the button's function. To use a function, highlight a few words in the text box and click the desired button. Clicking the button a second time will remove the function.

Several buttons will open a pop-up window to help you select a link, an image, etc. and various properties. Make certain that your Web browser is configured to allow pop-up windows from this site.

The -Styles- pull-down menu allows you to apply custom formatting to highlighted text. Several custom styles are available in this demo.

The -Format- pull-down menu allows you to apply standard HTML markup to highlighted text.

This demo will not allow you to save your edits. If you leave this page and return, or if you refresh the window, the content in the editor will return to its original state.
