Before selecting your major make sure you review page 11 & 12 in the One Book or click here. The major you select now will be your JMU major, and will be used to assign you to a freshman adviser and determine which classes you register for at Orientation.

In addition to your major, you may designate an interest in one of the following pre-professional or teacher education programs. A Pre-Professional Program is a defined set of courses and requirements designed to prepare a student for a specific professional career, certificate or licensure. A Pre-Professional Program is not a major, but a supplement to your chosen course of study.

  1. Select one preferred date from each drop down box.
  2. Note: Course availability is the same regardless of Orientation Date.
  3. Your Orientation assignment will be made based on session and freshman adviser availability
  4. Assignments will be available on May 29 on Step 7 of the One Book web site.
  5. Make travel arrangements after being assigned a date.

If you submit your Summer Springboard reservation by the May 21, 2008 deadline, your Orientation date will be available online on May 29, 2008.
