Quota International of Harrisonburg Fellowship Program

  Those who meet the following criteria may apply for the Quota Fellowship that is to be used for tuition, room and board, and textbooks:

Individuals with hearing or speech impairments who are currently, or plan to be, full-time students  at any accredited university or college.

Individuals who are or plan to be full-time students pursuing an accredited course of study leading toward a degree, at either the undergraduate or graduate level, which will prepare them to work with hearing or speech impaired people.

American Council of the Blind (ACB) 2003 Scholarship       

 Completed, type-written applications must be submitted along with the following:

-Autobiographical sketch

-Certification of legal blindness

-Certified transcripts from the school you are currently attending

-Recommendation letter from current or recent instructor

-Proof of acceptance from a post-secondary school.

2004 Marion Huber Learning Through Listening Awards

For College Seniors Who are Legally Blind

  

Nine total winners in three categories:

  1. Three winners will receive $6,000 each
  2. Three Special Honors will receive $3,000 each
  3. Three Honors winners will receive $1,000 each

 

Applicants must meet all 5 of the following eligibility criteria:

  1. Be legally blind
  2. Be registered, individually or through a school, with Recording for the Blind and Dyslexic for at least one year prior to February 20, 2004
  3. Have received, or will receive a bachelor's degree from an accredited four year college or university in the United States, or its territories, between July 1, 2003 and June 30, 2004
  4. Have an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher
  5. Provide evidence of leadership, enterprise and service to others
