About the Damiano Scholarship for Overcoming Adversity:
This scholarship was established by Frank Damiano ’00 to relieve students with learning disabilities of some of the stress inherent in their college experience, most significantly, that stemming from the lack of financial means. Through this scholarship, funds are provided annually to an undergraduate student who has a documented learning disability.

About the Damiano Scholarship for Overcoming Adversity: This scholarship was established by Frank Damiano ’00 to relieve students with learning disabilities of some of the stress inherent in their college experience, most significantly, that stemming from the lack of financial means. Through this scholarship, funds are provided annually to an undergraduate student who has a documented learning disability.
Amount of award: For the 2011-12 academic year, the value of the Damiano Scholarship for Overcoming Adversity is $500. This scholarship is not renewable.
Follow these steps to request scholarship consideration:
Notification of Applicants: Scholarship recipients will receive notification of their selection before the end of January. All applicants will receive a response from the selection committee.
Note: Submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by March 1 each year to ensure that you receive priority consideration for all types of financial aid. You can apply for financial aid online at: www.fafsa.gov
Incomplete applications will not receive consideration. |

2010-11 Tadlock Watson Scholarship Application: A scholarship for students with disabilities at JMU Deadline for application: November 1, 2010
2010-11 P. BUCKLEY MOSS ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP Application: This scholarship was established to benefit an entering freshman studying in the School of Art and Art History who has a documented learning disability (registered in the JMU Office of Disability Services). The School of Art and Art History Honors and Awards Committee juries the award. Recipients must have and maintain a 2.75 grade point average. The student continues to receive the scholarship until graduation as long as the criteria are met. If at any time the recipient fails to meet the requirements or when the student graduates, a new candidate will be selected.

2011 John Hudson Internship Program
The John Hudson Internship Program, a program providing summer internship opportunities for college students and recent graduates with disabilities, is currently accepting applications.
The application deadline was April 15, 2011.
There are five internship positions available.
