SHRM Takes 2nd Place in VA HRGames

JMU SHRM Students Place 2nd in Virginia HRGames

On February 26, two teams of JMU Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) students traveled to Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond to compete in the Virginia HRGames. Both teams represented JMU extremely well, with the team consisting of Emily Millington, Clare Burchard, and Lauren Heagey earning State Runner-up honors with a second place finish in the competition. The HRGames employ a Jeopardy-style format and are designed to provide students with the opportunity to showcase their Human Resources (HR) knowledge to HR practitioners, and to provide a fun way to motivate students to prepare for Professional Human Resource (PHR) certification.
