Four New Firms to Teach In Consulting Course
In a terrific example of how industry and higher education can work together, CIS 434, Information Technology Consulting, is a class taught jointly by Professor Glenn Smith and IT consultants from industry. Consultants from ten firms serve as mentors to student teams, give class lectures, and assist in evaluating class projects. The team is joined this year by Advanced Technology Systems, High Performance Technologies, Inc. (HPTi), Performance Engineering Corporation Solutions (PEC), and Protiviti. They join Accenture, American Management Systems (AMS), Booz Allen and Hamilton, Business Edge, Electronic Data Systems (EDS), and J. D. Edwards, who worked with the class last year.
