1. The summer brings many distractions, so I would say that I have learned to keep a good work ethic and complete tasks efficiently. I plant myself in one spot until I have crossed off each task given. This has been far from a hassle, because I have loved every second of my work this summer.

2. Based on the classes I have taken within the WRTC Major thus far, I believe that my Editing class with Cindy Allen has best prepared me for this internship.

3. Professionally, I think that my interpersonal skills have thrived since I began this internship. I have learned to take the reins on projects offered to me and run with them. Also, I have learned to rely heavily on my personal judgment to make professional decisions.

4. Procrastination hasn’t, nor ever will be, a friend of mine. Based on my internship, I am required to take initiative in each and every task I have been expected to complete.

5. Many WRTC majors and minors are doing internships for companies near and far, however, this summer I have been working for an independent author. I will not be offered a full-time position, but I have learned many things that I can carry on well into my future career.
