James Madison University turned over the keys to a hybrid all-terrain vehicle to officials of Shenandoah National Park Monday, March 20. The converted golf cart runs on electric power from four 12-volt batteries charged by a generator that runs on biodiesel fuel. The multipurpose ATV was built by four students at JMU, including Fredrik Hutter (driving), a German exchange student from Hochschule fuer Technik und Wirtschaft des Saarlands.
